Ramsdens Case Study

Successfully launching a huge new channel for a well established high street retailer.

Background

Ramsdens opened their first physical branch in 1987 in Stockton-on-Tees, with stores now on high streets through the UK; offering a range of services.

Ramsdens have been with Be Found Be Chosen since December 2020, for Paid Search.
From April 2022, they wanted to introduce a Paid Social strategy to the marketing mix, to boost revenue and their stake in the luxury watch and jewellery market.

The Challenge

A challenge from the beginning was the lack of historical data to draw from; this was the first time Paid Social was used in any capacity outside of job recruitment. This did however, give us a lot of freedom for testing copy, creative and targeting.

The Work

To kick off we focused on key product types and brands, building out from there and introducing retargeting at visitor level and abandoned carts. There was a lot of audience and creative testing, making sure the messaging was enticing enough to get those click throughs.

The Results

4,500% ROAS over 6 months

Over the six months we’ve been working together we’ve raised the initial (month one) ROAS from 17x to consistently 45x +, generating great returns and contributing to the YoY increase in site revenue.

Here’s what Head of eCommerce at Ramsdens, had to say about the work:
“Working with Be Found Be Chosen to implement our Paid Search strategy has had a huge impact on our online revenue, allowing us to drive sales and interest in our products. We have managed to attract and gain more new customers and adding Paid Social to our online marketing mix was an easy decision. As a business we look forward to continuing to work with the team to see where it takes us next.”

The Future

Ramsdens continues to go from strength to strength in Paid Social, moving into Q4 and 2023, we want to continue to dominate the second-hand luxury goods market.
We’ll continue audience and creative testing, putting the account in the best position in the run up to the festive season.
